What are the duties of the assessor?
The Assessors responsibility is to value and assess real estate and personal property located within the county. Contrary to popular misconceptions, the Assessor does not calculate taxes, collect taxes, set tax rates or create tax bills. The Assessor is concerned with property values, not taxes.

How many assessments are required for trainee assessor?
This unit requires you, the trainee assessor, to carry out two assessments on two learners each – totalling four assessments. You will be required to assess their occupational competence within their workplace using ‘Observation’ and at least one other assessment method.
